Today I ran to the coral canyon entrance and back it was a tough run but well worth it. On the front side of the hill I could really feel the burn in my calves but once I started going down the other side the searing pain left and it was all good. It was a slow run but it was a good long run and it definitely makes some of the other hills i've run seem like a cinch to get up. It was a good workout for working 2 different sets of muscles as hills work different muscles. Later today I'm going too run 2 miles before work. I'll update after that.
Early Pm- around 2:50 I headed out for my second run of the day, the one in the heat. I headed out to the park with the rock wall and around the little paved trail. I stopped at the fountain to get a drink and then headed back, running through my neighborhood a bit so it'd be a 2 miler. The first part of the run felt really good and then on the way back not as good but still not horrible, but when I got home the heat hit me and i got a drink quickly and got drenched in cold water. Now I feel a bit better and the worst of it should be over now hopefully tomorrow's run will be better. |
