Running Accomplishments:

My Sophmore year I ran at state, as a girls team we made it. Unfortunately last year we were beat out, but it was a learning experience. The Guys made it this last year and we were there to support them.

Senior year went to state XC both the girls and the guys. guys tied for 3rd but lost the tiebreaker so 4th in the state. way to go guys. The girls did fairly well too.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I hope to get my 800 time down and race well this track season.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Half marathon finish. 13.1 miles. Challenge myself and make it through.

Personal:

I'm am a senior this year at pine view high school. I've run track since my freshman year but been a distance runner in xc since my sophmore. I love the feeling you get right after a race when you know you've pushed it hard and you did it.  I am going to run the wasatch back this summer and its going to be AWESOME!!!!

I ran three miles today with Danny. It was alright but my hip was giving me grief. No worries though i'll just ice it and stretch so it should feel better soon. I also feel a bit out of shape, i guess that's what happens when its difficult to run with the activities you're involved in for 2 weeks. I hope my hip stops bugging me by friday. 

Afternoon: I went to the washington city community center with my brother. I went 9-10 miles on the ellipticals. I hope it can help me later on.

Today i did a four mile run with (.25?) as a warmup. Thanks Jeff. Slow, stiff miles today. My left hip was giving me grief as well as my left ankle. I'll ice it tonight and hope for the best. I'll just have to keep icing and stretching until I can finally be rid of the pain.

I ran home from the movies with my brother. It was only about a mile but it felt good. tomorrow i'll have to hit another mile.

I don't know the exact distance but this evening I went about 4 miles. I did a kind of elongated arctic circle loop by starting from my house and going from there. I started later to try and beat the heat but when i started my run it was still really hot and a little humid. As the run went on it started to cool down a little but not much. I didn't stop and walk at all so that's an accomplishment for now as i'm still a little out of shape but I hope i'll get better. My feet were a little in pain too I just hope that goes away before my morning run with the team. All in all not a bad start to the week so lets hope I can do a bit more.

I ran the 3 mile today. Not a bad run but my left knee was bugging me. I'm icing it right now so that i can get rid of the pain and run on it tomorrow, hopefully further than today. Slow, tired miles as well. If  I can get more sleep i should be able to prevent that.

I' ve felt sick the last couple days. Tired and not with it at all. I hope i get feeling better soon so i can get more running in. I hate not being able to run.

I ran with Chandis today at practice. It was a long slow run for me today. Probably because its so early in the week. Later this week hopefully it won't be so slow.

I ran 2 miles today and they didn't feel very good. Unfortunately I haven't been sleeping well lately which has been screwing with my health. I'll just cross my fingers and hope I can actually sleep in the future.

Today while I was doing stretches my left hip was in pain as well as during the run. Coach tells me I have a tight I.T. band. I'm going to ice it like crazy this weekend and stretch it some too. I hope it loosens up by monday. Other than my I.T. band today's run felt pretty good it was a pretty solid 3 miler.

Today wasn't a very good run at all. I felt sick and it was a crappy run. My I.T. Band has still been giving me grief so i'm gonna have to Ice it tons more and stretch it out while hoping it feels better tomorrow. I am determined to go further tomorrow no matter what. However, I figured increasing the pain now would be a bad Idea. I intend on being useful when the xc season starts so i'm not gonna make things work.
